Local Governmental Meetings in our Communities -
MEMBERS: There are very important reasons to observe governmental body meetings and there are equally important points that ALL League members observe.
These key pointers are indelibly pressed on all League members.
1. Always wear your league button.
2. Know that League observers NEVER speak for the League unless authorized by the Board.
3. Active listening means that you take notes and do not comment personally to any official at the meeting about action(s) taken. (This does not mean that you should avoid introducing yourself as a league member if the opportunity arises.)
4. Report your findings or your questions to the appropriate committee chair or to the Board.
